September 15th 11pm Cry of Dolores.  People gather in the plaza and the town judge reenacts the speach made in 1810 by Hidalgo called el grito de Dolores.

November 1 Day of the Dead for the babies, Altars for day of the dead are assembled in the plaza and lit with candles for viewing at night. 
November 2 Day of the Dead. Families will clean and adorn gravesites, there will be altars built in the Plaza, music and dancing  during the day. ​

November 20 Revolucion Day /Parade around 9 am, Children dress in Revolucionary costume, floats with important revolucionary figures, dancing horses, and school participation.  Music and dancing horses in plaza during the day.

December 6-12  Festival for the Virgin of Guadalupe.  Nightly processions with religious scenes that end at the church by the plaza for mass.  Expect loud booming fireworks every morning around 5
am and again in the evening calling parishioners to church.  Some nights there are toros- metal bulls carried around the plaza that chase towns people and shoot fireworks out.
Night of December 11th right before 12am town gathers in square to sing las Mañanitas to the Virgin of Guadalupe.
 A torch is brought in by towns people that have run from one town to the next and arrives with police escort around 12pm on December 12th.  On December 12th at night there is usually a castillo- large firework tower assembled in the main plaza and the final procession.

February 1-5 Festival Sayulita , Includes Film,  Surf competition, tequila tasting and a live concert. See web connection for details.

Festival Sayulita
February 17-24 Sayulita Days.  Every town celebrates a special day for the town. Sayulita's day is February 24th.  A fair is set up in the baseball field with rides, games and booths  which are open for various days leading up to the 24th.  Various nights will have live music. Expect the town to be loud due to rides and music. On Sunday there is a rodeo close to the entrance of Sayulita at the ring.  On the 24th there is a Sayulita Day parade around the plaza, crowning of Miss Sayulita, dancing horses, traveling musicians and at the baseball field a tower of fireworks.

April 10-16 Easter- Semana Santa

April 17-23 Semana pascua
April 30th  Childrens Day  Celebrations in the schools and around town for the children. All children are welcome to the town celebrations.  Expect Piñatas, candy and food.

May 10 Mothers Day  Serenades of Las Mañanitas  at 12am right when it becomes May 10th can be heard in town.
